Go Philippines! / Tokyo Olympics!

 Kia Ora Everyone!

In Literacy, we were learning about Tokyo Olympics! First off, we were given a task to answer questions about The Ancient Olympics and the question were :

  1. When were the first recorded Olympic Games?

  2. How many events were there and what were they at the start?

  3. What events did they add later?

We had to research for the answers, but luckily we had an Article to read and got all of the answers for that! I really enjoy learning about Tokyo Olympics, but it was quite hard to find the true formation, but check out more information about Tokyo and Tokyo Olympics on my side!

When was the first Modern Olympics?

In Literacy we had to do two information report writing, the first one is about an accident or disaster that happened. The other one can be about anything you want! I chose to do Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, a Music prodigy child. His father was Leopold, a successful composer, violinist, and assistant concertmaster.

If you want to know more, check out my report writing! : The story of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Sadly this report is still in progress but I will try to keep writing, I really love the music he makes!

A Horrible Accident!

Kia ora everyone!

In literacy, we have been working on an informational report writing. We had five options to chose from, Tangiwai Rail Disaster, Cave Creek, Rainbow Warrior, Wahine Disaster, Christchurch Earthquake.

I choose Cave Creek, the disaster was in 1995 on 28 April with 18 people got onto a platform and fell down about 30 or 40 meters down! Only 4 people survived and the rest, unfortunately, passed away. This was really fun to research and found interesting facts!

If you want to know more check out my informational report writing to know more!

Kia TAU! Wait up!

Kai Ora everyone!

The past couple of Friday's I have been working on an animation called " Kia Tere ", in the English version is called  " Be Quick ". The animation is still in progress!

The animation has a couple commands in Maori then translated into English. the commands have a scenario when you will use them, I got the commands from my hub site!

Honestly, this was a fun way to think about creative scenarios to fit with the commands.

Can you say all the commands correctly?

Time For ACTION!

 Kia Ora Everyone!

On Wednesday the korimako hub went to the hall with some actors from The Court Theatre to have fun with us!

First, we went into a circle and started with an epic dance party! You could any dance, there were so many types of dance like frogs, jumping, etc. Then into an animal game that you and the person beside, you had to an impression of an animal, whoever did the best would win.

We were put into groups and make an object with our bodies. But we had to do this without talking to each other, the objects were like brushes, stars, and the beach. How many objects can you make with a group?

Lastly, we did a tongue twister and say it as many times as we could say in 30 seconds. It was " Irish Wristwatch " many people got stuck trying to say it properly!

Everyone enjoyed this day, this was a day that many of us can remember!
